Congratulations to the winners of our Royal Melbourne Show family day passes.
Marlo and Jude - from Bittern.
Harry, Oscar and Ruby - from Jindivick.
You guys did a fantastic job and I hope you enjoy going to the Show this year with your families. I know everyone (including your parents) sounded very excited!!
A short story, when I was kid I still remember that it was near the checkout counter of a Coles supermarket where I stumbled on a colouring competition. It was a boy on a bull in a rodeo and the prize was just that - 2 tickets to the Royal Melbourne Show. Whoopee!! I had never been to the show. And, I loved art. Of course I had a go...and I won! I went with my siblings, and had a blast! At the time, I didn't have the guts to go on the "Mad Mouse", but my brothers did and felt pretty sick afterwards. I loved the showbags though, especially the Cadbury one. And of course all the animals. So it's especially nice to be able to host this competition now.
With that in mind, I'm really happy that so many kids entered. Beyond winning, it's about having a go, and keeping on having a go, because that's what it takes. So well done everyone for entering and I hope all the families out there enjoy some fun times with the kids this school holidays.
Best wishes,
Floyd
