Company Accountant

Are you a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Atticus Health, a growing organisation committed to improving the lives of our communities, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team.

As an Accountant at Atticus Health, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency. This is a full-time position based at our Highett office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate detailed financial reports, including those for tax compliance such as BAS, superannuation, and year-end financial statements.
  • Create and present financial documents, including budgets, forecasts, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the management team to improve financial processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a CPA/CA qualification.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience (healthcare industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero is highly desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
